"Ilie Nastase" by
Ashley Reaks
Last night I had a dream.
I was kissing and cuddling with Ilie Nastase, the Rumanian tennis player from
the 70's.
He was the leader in the close race to climax, humping and grinding like a
loved-up foal.
His hips were shaking to the ‘Best of Techno’ album I'd borrowed
from my cousin Roderick.
His arse looked firm yet soft to touch as I imagined him draped in the Turin
Shroud.
“Oh Ilie”, I moaned as he pulled off my socks.
His breath was like a donkey in the electric chair.
“Take me to the seaside and show me how to swim!”
“Of course love”, he answered in his Eastern Block drone.
Later, I made a candlestick holder out of fish heads, whilst Ilie washed the
dishes and strangled a mollusc.

I'm a self-taught artist, musician and poet from the bleakly beautiful North
of England...now living near the A4 for no apparent reason...my work is a
spontaneous expression of the child inside of me.., playful, dark, funny,
angry, passionate and mysterious...after 15 years as a musician i'd developed
too much technique to surprise myself so began to make collages and went
on tour promoting 'Itchy Circus Odour',
my album of poetry, noises, darkly comic songs and gases...i like squirrels
