FEMA representative will attempt to contact you by telephone a
total of three times. Please be alert for this phone call. Your
FEMA representative will not leave a return phone number. You
will not be able to return your representative’s call. If
you call the main FEMA number you will be put on hold for twenty
minutes listening to repeated recordings telling you that you
really should not have called, then you will be disconnected just
as a random representative picks up your call.
You must answer one of the three calls in order to be eligible
for the assistance requested. If you do not answer one of the
three calls your request will be marked no pay.
If you do not answer one of the three calls, your life will continue
in shambles. If you do not answer one of the three calls, wolves
will howl for forty days and forty nights on your so-called doorstep.
Sleep with your phone by your pillow. Dream only of vacuum seals,
camouflage, hotel keys.
Do not dream of home. Do not sleep deeply.
FEMA will call you three times.
