Regina Lafay
My childhood in Southern California was somewhat forgettable up
until around age 12. Just after my parents divorced, my father started
molesting me. It continued until he remarried, a year or so later. At
15 my father kicked me around one night because I had missed dinner,
so I moved in with my mother in Henderson, NV. I was obsessed with Duran
Duran and Vogue magazine, and I drew in my pastime. At 17 I began a
short-lived modeling career, but I became so interested in the photography
that I had my mother, a photographer and graphic artist, teach me photography.
I took photos of my model friends for their books. Eventually I began
painting directly onto my prints for a Pop Art effect. Then I discovered
Adobe Photoshop. Recently I started using a digital camera and foregoing
the hand painting completely.
I currently live in Las Vegas with my husband and dogs. I have Fibromyalgia,
Depression and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Art is a great release and a
powerful tool in my healing.

Cindy Nagel
For the last 10 years, Cindy has been a "spoken word artist"
preferring to recite her poetry in dark, smoky rooms and libraries instead
of publishing in written form. She has been a featured performer at
Maxwell's (Hoboken), Yakkity Yak (Chelsea), the Support Our Sisters
House Concert Series presented by North Jersey NOW and CBGB's Gallery
to name a few. She's also featured and assisted in several art festivals
including Regurgitation Show (Jersey City), Gray Matter Poetry Series
(Montclair) and Jersey City Artist Tour. Cindy is currently a member
of the Shee Collective, a group of inspired and artful female musicians
and poets. The Shee Collective released a self-titled compilation CD
this past year and Cindy did her first out of state "tour"
in Columbus, Ohio with fellow Collective members Catherine Moon and
Jan Corliss. Cindy has also released her first CD of poetry entitled

Andrew Wallace
I was born in New York City, raised in the suburbs, and then went to college in New England. I moved to Brooklyn four years ago, and started dabbling in short-story writing shortly after that. I am an attorney and currently work for the State of New York. 'Lowlifes' is my first published story, and I am happy and honored that is appearing in Outsider Ink.
